ATM Security Advice |

Dear Residents,
Please take a moment to consider a few simple steps to stay safe when using cash machines (ATMs) in our area.
Before using a cash machine, look around and trust your instincts. If someone is standing too close or you feel uncomfortable, walk away. Always check the machine for anything loose, damaged, or unusual, especially around the card slot or keypad. If something doesn’t look right, don’t use it and report it to the bank and police.
Stay alert and avoid distractions like your phone. Cover the keypad when entering your PIN, keep your card in sight, and put it away immediately after use. If anyone tries to distract you, cancel the transaction and prioritise your safety.
Where possible, use ATMs inside banks or shops, regularly check your bank statements, and consider using protective wallets for contactless cards.
Thank you for helping keep our community safe. Please report anything suspicious.
Thank you, Chad Carrington
